Our screws anchor
your project

Adapter, pipe, post and beam – we have four basic models of screws with different brackets, lengths and dimensions. Depending on what is to be anchored, what the load requirements are, and the ground conditions where the screws are to be installed. We also have a number of special attachments for applications demanding tailored fitting. Wherever you need a foundation post, we can mount a ground screw!

Stop Digging’s high quality ground screws are specially adapted to cope with northern climates and resist corrosion.

We provide a 25-year warranty on all our screws

ADAPTER SCREW

Our universal screw! The adapter screw has a mounting plate with a series of slots that allow for precise adjustment in several directions and is therefore suitable for structures requiring a great deal of accuracy. This model takes a wide range of attachments including the beam bracket, post bracket, plate and L-support which make it a very versatile support. There is almost nothing we cannot securely attach! This makes it ideal for a variety of structures such as living quarters on construction sites, sound dampening boards, greenhouses, solar cells and prefabricated houses. The adapter screw is available in two different designs.

PIPE SCREW

The pipe screw is exactly what it is – a pipe ground screw designed to hold a steel tube within itself. This model is ideal as a foundation for traffic signs, rubbish bins and temporary fences. It is available in several sizes and is easily assembled with the steel pipe locking into place with the use of four bolts. The pipe screw is perfect for temporary installations where damaging the ground is to be avoided, such as parks, gardens, lawns, pavements and other other surfaces which need to remain intact. When you need to support a steel pipe for whatever purpose, the pipe screw is the best choice.

POST SCREW

Post screws replace and outperform concrete posts across a whole range of structures. They make any project faster and easier without sacrificing strength, longevity or cost. TPost screws are used for installing supports for fences, carports, barriers, and other structures. The U profile creates a strong bond with the supported post, with the added advantage of allowing wood to dry properly and not decay buried in the ground. The screw head is available in 70 and 95 mm widths, which fits a wide range of supports used in carports, fences, decks and other garden buildings.

BEAM SCREW

Our beam screws are perfect for supporting frames and joists in a variety of constructions, for example the joists in a garden deck. The screw head has a mounting slot of 95 mm wide to fit most standard dimensions of timber. The screws are available in two thicknesses and five lengths, which makes it possible to maintain a level bead on uneven ground without losing stability. The beam screw shoe has a strong U-profile with five screw holes per side for a secure fastening of joists, studs and other beams. Forget the cumbersome level adjustment of concrete posts, this screw makes keeping a level a doddle.

SCREW OPPORTUNITIES

Special with ground screw

Ground screws can take on any task. From a fence around the festival area to a nature playground where the excavator cannot go. Or perhaps, a steep and sandy slope that needs a flight of stairs or an accessibility-adapted ramp in a sensitive nature reserve.

As you can see ground screws can take on any challenge – do not hesitate to contact us with questions or a problem assignment and we will develop a solution and anchor your project quickly and affordably!

AUTHORIZATION PROVIDES QUALITY

Certified and trained installers

To meet this ISO 9001 standard, Stop Digging’s installers undergo rigorous training to use our specialised equipment and to have the right skills and understanding to offer our clients the best solution for their needs. Additionally, all of our installers carry full, public liability insurance. Our business ethos is not only to provide a high quality product, but to deliver and install it to the highest professional standard.

INSTALLATION EVERYWHERE, YEAR AROUND

Mounting the ground screw – this is how it works

Just as we would pre-drill hard stone for fixing a normal screw, we always drill a pilot hole before installing our ground screw in tricky terrain. This forces smaller stones or gravel aside and our equipment is powerful enough to split medium-sized rocks. If you are building on solid or large enough rocks, our installers can anchor with a drilled steel stud and use ground screws where the ground is more suitable. In newly excavated, soft or disturbed soil, our installers are trained to assess the ground and select longer screws if necessary to provide a secure and stable foundation.

Installation is quick and easy, it only takes a few minutes per screw. The ground screws are sunk with the help of our specially developed drill that produces high torque to penetrate even the most resistant of terrain, whatever the slope angle. The equipment is lightweight and does not damage grass or other surfaces – for cobblestones we remove a stone or two and drill, and tarmac produces the neatest of holes! Our installers are specially trained to select the right screw for your project, install it correctly in whatever terrain they face and finish with the minimum of disruption.
